Spray scan mobile patternation system
The SprayScan mPT is a portable system that illuminates, captures, and evaluates a spray pattern, providing insights on spray performance and distribution.
Techniques
- Utilizes a laser and frame to illuminate the spray pattern of a nozzle
- Droplets pass through the laser sheet and scatter light relative to the size and concentration of the droplets
- A short video of the spray is recorded, processed and, in approximately one minute, the spray distribution, an image of the spray and a 2D matrix data are available
Applications
- Capturing spray pattern characteristics, including size, shape and distribution
- Quickly and easily verify uniformity and coverage
- Compare spray performance over time to determine if nozzle maintenance or replacement is required
